November 25th. Andrew Overby, carpenter, fell overboard from seventh span bridge, James river, and was drowned. Was standing on abutment at east end bridge keeping drift-wood from accumulating, a heavy log striking against end of his pole threw him into the stream.

Census records indicate that Clement and Nancy had at least five boys and two girls. Their son Warren, born 1821, is described as an orphan at an early age.
