A retired waitress and factory worker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Delilah Smith Tate. She was married to Milton Seals who preceded her in death in 1971. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Evelyn Elizabeth Mourlas of Chicago, IL, Everett and Gayla Seals and Doris and Connie Roberts both of McMinnville and Michael and Annette Seals of Soddy Daisy, TN; eight grandchildren, Lucy Coteus of Chicago, IL, Anita Powers and Sherry Moore both of McMinnville, Randy Seals of North Carolina, Renee Hancock and Misty Wright both of Viola, TN, Peter Mourlas of Chicago, IL and Amanda Seals of Hixson, TN; fourteen great-grandchildren and three brothers, Vince, Alden and Dexter Tate all of Dunlap, TN.
