Ms. Lora Davidson, 103, of Tucson, formerly of Kopperston, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 at her home among her loving family. She was born in Tazewell County, Va. and she was the daughter of the late Noah and Molly Whitaker Altizer, both Tazewell County natives. She had made her home in Kopperston for 57 years before moving to Tucson, Ariz., where she resided for the last 10 years. Lora was of the Methodist faith and had lived a full and prosperous life. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rufus A. Davidson, one sister, Essie Altizer and one brother, James Altizer. Survivors include: Her adopted granddaughter, Sandra Lucento of Tucson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Lora Davidson will be held Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Va., with the Rev. David Brannock officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be relatives and friends.
