Pleasant, WV, following an extended illness. She was born June 30, 1906, at Pine Grove, WV, a daughter of the late Ephriam and Martha Stackpole. She was a homemaker and attended Ravenswood Senior Citizens and Praise Cathedral Church of Ravenswood. Survivors include three daughter, Linda Bever of Ravenswood, Helen Joan Barber of Fairplain, and Norma Burgess of Ravenswood, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Shockey, brothers, Arza, Burl, Clarence, Amos and Charlie Stackpole, and a sister, Amelia. Funeral service was on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 11:00 AM, at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Pastor George Weirick and Pastor Jim Dale officiating. Burial followed in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
