Hartmann, 125 Pine Street, died yesterday morning at his home following a short illness in his 80th year. He was born in Springvale, Me. a son of Charles and Elizabeth (Welch) Hartman, but had lived in town most of his life. A shoemaker by trade, the deceased was well known locally. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Margaret E. Hartman; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Bennett and Mrs. Chester E. Ferris of Danvers and Mrs. Sidney Lewton of Peabody; two sons, Oscar A. of Danvers and Roy E. of Providence, R.I.; two brothers, Herbert and Hervey of Danvers; one sister, Mrs. Esther Klingermann of Redlands, Cal.; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Sundy at 2:30 P.M. Friends may pay their respects at the Clarence R. Lyons and Son Funeral Home. Clemons officiated; Mrs. Bernard Kennedy was the soloist.
