28655	Southern Standard, McMinnville TN, Feb. 2, 1956 pg. 9 Albert Tate, 75 Dies At Tarlton; Rites Thursday Albert Franklin Tate, 75-year-old retired farmer, died at the home of his brother, Joe B. Tate, here, January 25 at 5:25 a.m. He had been in ill health for the past two years. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. At the Philadelphia Church in Grundy County. Brother Binkley officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tate, Albert Franklin Tate was born in Grundy County in November 1881. He was married to the former Miss Pearl King in 1901. She died August 4, 1955. Mr. Tate was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are six sons, Jasper, Paul and Lester Tate, Tarlton; Morton Tate, Fort Benning, Ga., and Roscoe and Edward Tate, Tarlton; four daughters, Mrs. W. L. Johnson, Augusta, Maine; Mrs. Joe B. Tate, McMinnville; Mrs. Sidney Walker, Beersheba, and Mrs. Albert Rogers, Petersburg, Florida, and two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Tate and Mrs. Mary Tate, both of Kemberly, Idaho. Email from: kjmorrison95@yahoo.com I am searching for parentage information on James Marion Dancy Wingler. He was born ca 1846,47 in Ashe Co NC, probably an illegimate child. . It is supposed that he was raised by a Dancy, but his father was actually a Wingler, but I have no proof of this. Another supposition is that his mother was a Dancy, or his mother was a Wingler and his real father a Dancy. Any one with any information, it would be greatly appreciated. I haven't had any luck at finding James on the 1850 Ashe Co census, but I don't know who he might have been living with. I am trying to determine the parentage of James Marion Dancy (Wingler). He was born in NC, supposedly Ashe Co, or possibly Wilkes, died in Greenbrier Co WV and is buried under the name JM Wingler, next to his first wife of the name Sarah Emaline(Garret)(Nelson)Dancy. His children were all named Dancy. He is believed to have been my g-g-grandfather, though some amount of secrecy seems to surround him, I can't find anything that might point to his parents or why he moved to WV. My g-grandfather, Frank Dancy left home at 17, and never went back, and from all accounts never mentioned his family, so Frank's living son's have no idea who their grandparents or great grandparents were.
