NANCY WHITAKER BEAVERS OF CEDAR BLUFF DIES AT 102
CEDAR BLUFF - Mrs. Nancy Whitaker Beavers, 102, of Route 1 died Wed., Feb. 13, 2002 at a Richlands hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Tazwell County, a daughter of the late Hiram and Lillie Belle Christian Whitaker, both Tazewell County natives. She was a lifelong resident of Cedar Bluff and a member of Crossroads Community church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Linzie T. Beavers, a daughter and son-in-law, Nell and George Burress, a son and daughter-in-law, L.K. and Juanita Beavers, and 10 brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors are: daughter Lillian Collins of Cedar Bluff; seven grandchildren, Colin Beavers, Eddie Burress, Rodney Collins, Jeffrey Collins, Kerry Collins, Tommy Beavers, and Kip Beavers; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services conducted at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home. Interment in Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands.
