She was born in Buchanan County Virginia and was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Lucinda Newberry Chambers. She had been a resident of the North Tazewell area for the past thirty-seven years and was of the Protestant faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband Squire W. Stilwell and brother Ramey Chambers. Survivors are three daughters Trudy Stilwell and Jean Stilwell both of the home and Wilma Stilwell Harman of North Tazewell Virginia; three sons--James Mervin Stilwell and Adolphus Andrew Stilwell, both of North Tazewell Virginia and Michael Wayne Stilwell of Bristol Tenn; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She blessed the lives of many people throughout her lifetime and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will forever live in their hearts. In addition to her parents, her cousin, Carl Tate, also preceded her in death. Wanda was like a mother to her special friends and neighbors of 21 years, Garry and Betty Gulliver; and was like a grandmother to Beth and Shannon Gulliver and Brian and Mary Gulliver, all of Belleville. Four cousins also survive her, Betty White of Canton, Mich., Dorothy Tate of Clear, Va., Virginia Colley of Porter, Va., and Ferne Pate of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
