Born in Fayette County, W.Va., on February 19, 1936, Nancy grew up in Huntington, W.Va., graduating from Huntington East High School in 1954. Nancy attended business school in Huntington and worked at Island Creek Coal Company. When she returned to Huntington following her husband's death, she worked at the Cabell County Health Department. For many years Nancy had been a resident of Bob Hope Village in Shalimar and active in the Air Force Sergeants Association. A person of very deep faith, she worshiped at Delores Hope Memorial Chapel at the Village. In Huntington, she was active at 26th Street Baptist Church. She had a love of music and enjoyed playing the violin and singing to her grandchildren and great grandchildern. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, MSGT Kenneth R. Harmon (USAF Retired) and infant daughter, Donna Gale Harmon; and her parents Roy E. and Dorothy I. (McGraw) Pack. She is survived by her son, Keith E. Harmon of Largo, Fla.; granddaughters Brandi Fehernbach and Jessica Harmon, Largo, Fla.; grandson, Jacob Harmon, Largo, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Charlotte Pack, Owensboro, Ky., Fred and Julia Pack of South Point, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law Bill and Debbie (Pack) Lapole, Gainesville, Fla.; sister-in-law, Judith Harmon, Brandon, FL; sister-in-law Jean Ward, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law Frances Harmon, Virginia; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survivors include her sons, Mark Allen Wood and Andrew Wood; sister, Anna Lee Gadd; grandchildren, Amber, Summer and husband, Greg, Jessica, Lisa, Mark, Jr, Rebecca, Drew, Kimberly and Sara; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Central Baptist Church June 24, with Bro. Roland Smith officiating. Interment was in Crossville City Cemetery. Over his extended career in textiles with JP Stevens, Burlington Industries and Riegel/Mount Vernon Mills he had many great friends and colleagues. After retiring to Amelia Island in 2000, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and neighbors who enriched his life. Mr. Grose is preceded in death by his brother, Lee Loren Grose Jr. and his sister, Sarah Grose Copeland. He is survived by his wife, June and four children Carol (Jeffrey), Lee (Mitch), Kathy (Bill) and Philip (Nishi) as well as his brother, John. Mr. Fugate was born July 26, 1925, in Corning. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wappapello, and was retired from Berry Wehmiller (Boilermaker). On Sept. 5, 1953, he married Almarietta Griffin. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, David Fugate of Cedar Hill and Matt Fugate of Dudley; two brothers, Lawrence Fugate of Sikeston and Danny Fugate of Kansas City; four sisters, Jane Evans and Janetta Groves, both of Sikeston, Margaret Patton of Texas, and Donna Kay Franey of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bruce Pittman officiating.
