      TATE - Victor Lafayette Tate, died at his home in Beersheba Springs November 21. His funeral was held from the Grace Chapel Church at Beersheba November 28, with Revs. Bean, Poole and Killian officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

      Born in Grundy County, July 2, 1867, he was a son of John A Tate and Martha Hicks Tate. He is survived by widow, Mrs Carrie Tate, three sons, Wiley Tate of Beersheba Springs, Herbert Tate, of Chattanooga and David E. Tate of Raleigh, N. C., six daughters, Mrs. Hans Hegge of Cleveland, Mrs. Ruby Gross of Palmer, Mrs. Naomi Melfi of Nashville, Mrs. Oliver Anderson of Nashville, Mrs. Hazel Lane of Doyle and Mrs. Victoria Morrison of Beersheba Springs and two brothers, Will Tate of Beersheba Springs and John A. Tate, of Oklahoma.

      Victor Lafayette Tate, 79, died at his home in Beersheba Springs, on November 21. The funeral was held from the Grace Chapel Church at Beersheba on November 23, with Revs. Bean, Poole and Killian officiating. Burial was in the Chruch Cemetery. Born in Grundy County, July 2, 1867, he was a son of John Tate and Martha Hicks Tate. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Carrie Tate, three sons, Wiley Tate of Beersheba Springs, Herbert Tate of Chattanooga and David E. Tate of Raleigh, NC; six daughters, Mrs. Harry Hegge, of Cleveland, Mrs. Ruby Gross of Tracy City, Mrs. Oliver Anderson of Palmer, Mrs. Naomi Melfi of Nashville, Mrs. Hazel Lane of Doyle and Mrs. Victoria Morrison of Beersheba Springs; and two brothers, Will Tate of Beersheba Springs and John A. Tate of Oklahoma. Arrangements by the High Funeral Company.
