Sterrett, 55, of 2220 Albans, executive general manager of mortgage loan and investment division of the southwest home office of the Prudential Insurance Co., will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. He died in his home Sunday night. Sterrett had been with the Houston office since its opening in 1951. He joined the Prudential, Atlanta, Ga., office in 1929 and was there for nine years in the company's first farm loan office From Atlanta he went to Indianapolis as the company's farm loan manager; then to the New York, office. He was a native of Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Sterrett, two daughters, Mary Lewis Sterrett, both of Houston, and Mrs. John L. Ballantyne, Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. John K. Davidson, Lexington, Va. and Mrs. Alden Anderson, Staunton, Va., a brother M.N. Sterrett, Raphine, Va., and two grandchildren. Services will be at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Charles L. King officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Stettgest-Kopt Co.
