Notes	OBITUARY VIRGINIA BEACH - Peggy Jean Halsey, 68, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011. Peggy was the daughter of the late Everett and Lois Morgan, and was raised in Mullens, W.Va. She had been a resident of Virginia Beach since 1960, and worked for the Virginia Beach School System. Peggy enjoyed people immensely and had a gift for making them laugh. She especially loved her children, grandchildren, and pets. She was wise, dedicated, and thoughtful, and befriended all with her disarming charm. She is survived by her husband of 52 years R. D. Halsey; children, Ron Halsey Jr. and wife Ann, Scott Halsey and Tracey Carr, and Chris Halsey; brother, Rene Morgan and wife Sherrie, brother, Dean Morgan and wife Susie; and grandchildren, Morgan and Trey Halsey; stepmother, Frances Morgan; and special companion, Trey Dog. Her sister, Norma Weygandt and brother, Doug Morgan predeceased her. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Vineyard Community Church, located at 4444 Expressway Drive in Virginia Beach. A graveside service will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at 1:30 p.m. at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, VA 23513 or the Virginia Beach SPCA 3040 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.
