Monroe Teeters, 89, of Big Spring, died Monday, January 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Hillcrest Baptist Church with his son, Rev. Dennis Teeters and Rev. Elwin Collom officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. He was born October 20, 1926 in Roscoe, Texas and married Snowie Mae Bratcher March 8, 1946 in Lynn County, Texas. Monroe served as a pastor for over 73 years in the West Texas and Panhandle areas. His ministry was his life. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Cheatham and husband, Larry Cheatham of Benbrook; one son, Dennis Teeters and wife, Susie of Big Spring; six grandchildren; Brian Huddleston and wife, Lauren, Erik Huddleston and wife, Deanndra, Bethany Dow and husband, Robert, Caleb Teeters and wife, Staci, Summer Matlock and husband, Michael and Nathan Teeters and wife, Kimmy; sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2000 W. FM 700, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
