He was born in Gate City, VA on August 23, 1931; he was the son of the late Clarence L. Blair and Myrlie Quillen Blair. He was of the Baptist faith and loved to farm and garden. Mr. Blair is survived by his 2 sisters Margaret Ruth Collins and Wilma Jean Cox and husband Billy Jack Cox Sr., several nieces and nephews, Billy Jack Cox Jr., Jason Cox, Chris Helton, Mike Collins, Brandy Collins, Brittney Helton, Sabrina Collins, Timmy Munsey, Jon Munsey, Chris Collins, and Will Cox. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. Funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Alan Moser and Rev. Rick Begley officiating. Graveside service will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11 AM in the Strong Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at funeral home by 10:15 AM. The family wishes to extend special thanks to his nephew Mike Collins and Wellmont Hospice and nursing staff of H.V.M.C.
