Notes	OBITUARY Bristol Herald Courier/Bristol Virginia-Tennessean; 12 Dec 2004 Joy June Vencill Mrs. Joy J. Vencill, 73, of Fort Pierce, died Friday November 26, 2004 in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was formerly of Richlands, Virginia and had lived the past 50 years in Florida. She was the daughter of the late Henderson and Dora Whitaker both Tazewell County natives. She was a retired receptionist for Dr. S.P. Rowe's office in Fort Pierce, FL. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Pierce and enjoyed spending her time creating crafts and sewing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Lary Steve Vencill, four sisters, Mae McGlothlin, Gay Turner, Agnes Leslie and Gladys Shelton, three brothers, John Whitaker, Roy Whitaker and Rufus Whitaker. Survivors include: Husband of 55 years Mr. Raymond Vencill Daughters Diana Lariosa and Pamela Keen of Fort Pierce, Florida Brother Roy Whitaker of Fort Pierce, Florida Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. A graveside service will be held at Clinch Valley Cemetery at 11:00 am on Thursday December 2, 2004 with the Rev. David Brannock Officiating. A visitation will be held at Hurst-Scott Funeral home in Richlands from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, December 2, 2004. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that contributions be made to The Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis c/o PNC Bank, P.O. Box 31001-0943, Pasadena, CA. 91110-0943
