OBITUARY

Frank Campbell Biggs of Bramwell, president of J.E.B. Pocahontas Coal Co., died Wednesday morning, May 15, 1968, in St. Luke's Hospital in Bluefield after a short illness.
Born April 17, 1899 at Tom's Creek, Va., Wise County, he was the son of the late James John Edwin and Mary John Biggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Edwin Biggs, Jr. in 1953.
Biggs was a graduate of Augusta Military Academy at Fort Defiance, Va. and attended West Virginia University. A veteran of WWI and WWII, he served in the south pacific in the Corp of Engineering as a Major. He has been president of the J.E.B. Coal Company since it was first originated in1950. He was a member of the Bluefield Country Club, Bluefield University Club and the Bramwell Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha McConnel Biggs of the home and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mercer Funeral Home Chapel in Bluefield.
