IKES FORK - Dottie Charlene Miller, 62, died Thursday, March 30, 2000, at a Charleston hospital following a brief illness.
Born June 12, 1937, at North Spring, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Haney Shannon.
Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Marshall University, a retired school teacher, having taught at Huff Consolidated Elementary, and was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Huey Miller; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Robin) Gobel II of St. Albans; two grandchildren, Robert "Bear" Gobel III and Shannon Gobel, both of St. Albans; her mother-in-law, Irene Miller of Hanover; a sister-in-law, Joyce Morgan and her husband, Arble, of Ikes Fork; two brothers-in-law, Doncie Miller and his wife, Earnestine, of Hanover and Denny "Doody" Miller and his wife, Valerie, of Clear Fork; and two special friends, Genevieve and Bob Dewese of Ikes Fork.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Fanning Funeral Home Chapel, Iaeger, with the Rev. Arnold Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Shannon Family Cemetery, Baileysville.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be friends and relatives of the family. Arrangements by Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger.
