  Notes	OBITUARY Mrs. Dorothy Laura McGlothlin Herndon, age 55 of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born September 27, 1949 in Rowe, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Larkin David & Emma Shortridge McGlothlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dovie Sanders Shortridge & Noah Shortridge; her paternal grandparents, Vinie Ray McGlothlin & Jake McGlothlin; & one sister, Betty Jean Rose. She is survived by her husband, Philip Herndon; two sons, Philip Herndon & wife Connie of Iaeger, WV, Steve Herndon of Swords Creek; one daughter, Elizabeth Herndon of Johnson City, TN; two granddaughters, Tarra Mullins of Iaeger, WV & Rhiannon Proffitt of Richlands; three great grandchildren, Megan & Grace Mullins both of Iaeger, WV & Jacob Proffitt of Richlands; two brothers, Arthur McGlothlin of Swords Creek & Milfred McGlothlin of Honaker; one step brother, Chester McGlothlin of Council; two sisters, Kathy Crutchfield & Opal Gildart both of Swords Creek; special friend, Debbie Carter; many special relatives & friends also survive. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2005 at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia with Pastor Darrell Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
