Notes	OBITUARY Peoria Journal Star; 25 May 2014 PEORIA - Curtis Lory Giddens, 67, of Peoria passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, at his residence. He was born Jan. 23, 1947, in Peoria to Lory I. and Margaret (Sarff) Giddens. He was married to Anne (Hoehne) Giddens. She survives. Also surviving are his mother; his sister, Sandra Tripp of Peoria; daughter, Laurie (Paul) Larsen of Dunlap; son, Robert (Tara) Giddens of Bartonville; daughter, Julie (Dan) Fitzpatrick of Singapore; two stepdaughters, Teresa (Ali) Amer of Dubai and Stephanie (Randy) Shults of Pekin; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Curtis graduated from Peoria Central High School and served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Curtis retired from Caterpillar in 2002, after 38 years of service. His passions were golf and fishing and he always lit up a room with his sense of humor. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davis-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 N. University St., in Peoria. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, following the service. Memorials may be directed to The American Heart Association, The Peoria Cancer Center and the Limestone Fire Department.
