He was still single, marrying in Cass Co., IA in 1862. They had 5 children, losing 3 in early childhood. (Family records) In 1880 Charles and Sarah were still in Iowa, Cass Co., although Sarah's father, sister, Emma her family had already moved on to CA. Charles must have gone there perhaps after 1890, and was in Tulare Co. by 1897-1898.
