Cluverius married Esther W. Sale, his first wife. B. W. Cluverius name is among those engraved on the monument to confederate soldiers from King William Co. that stands in the county courthouse complex. Tyler's Historical and Genealogical Magazine gave his name Bailey Whiting Cluverius. All other census and legal records have his name as Beverly W. Cluverius. His name has also been given as Beverly William Cluverius, I think Whiting is correct. His grandmother was Susanna Whiting who married Gibson Cluverius. Tyler was usually quite accurate with his information, and there was a family connection through the Seawell family who married into the Tyler's. Beverly's mother was Courtney Seawell, whose brother John B. Seawell married Maria Henry Tyler, sister of President John Tyler.
