Benny McGraw
Benny Galen McGraw, 58, of Rhodell, went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2012.
Born March 2, 1953, he was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Sizemore McGraw; father, Kyle McGraw; and daughter, Erin Kylynn McGraw. Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Erica McGraw Hampton of Beckley, and his son Benny G. McGraw II of Beckley.
Also left behind are his brothers Johnny McGraw of Meade, Roger McGraw and his wife Tresa of Mullens, Rudy McGraw of Tazewell, Va., his sisters Glenna ?Brenda? Burdiss of Rhodell, Diane Cawley and her husband Stu of Lester, Kathy Robb of Culloden, Talitha Tankersley and her husband Richard of Beckley, and a special Aunt Lee Smith of Sophia. Also left to mourn his loss is his plethora of nieces, nephews and cousins. Benny also left behind a wonderful church family that continued to grow larger as his spirit and faith grew in our Lord.
Benny loved to read his Bible, testify in church, and spread the word of God. The Bible was his favorite book to read but loved to be reading and learning at all times. When he had learned something new, he wanted to share that with you. Benny would also put that knowledge to the test by arguing with you, especially if he thought he could get a rise out of you. He loved comedy and action movies, and was a big fan of Dragon Ball Z and Pokémon. Benny loved animals, especially large, scary-looking dogs. You could always catch him driving around in his Dodge vehicles as he loved to take drives and explore the old country roads of his beautiful West Virginia. He was also a huge fan of the old Nintendo games like Castlevania and Zelda and could play them for hours. But above all of the material things, he loved his children with a mad passion and was proud of their accomplishments and liked to brag about his kids.
Please help the family celebrate his life by wearing the blue and gold of his beloved Mountaineers to his service.
Services will be held Monday, January 30, 2012, at Grace and Truth Ministries in Coal City, and will be conducted by Pastor Bill Spencer. Family will meet from 5 p.m. till 6 p.m. Friends and the public will meet from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to his church Grace and Truth Ministries.
