W. and Nancy Reed, was the first postmaster of Avondale, WV in McDowell Co. He married Robina Beavers on 17 April 1876 in Tazewell County, VA. Robina was a daughter of Alexander Beavers and his second wife, Rachel Barnett. Alexander was a son of Robert "Robin" Beavers and Catherine (nee Harman) Beavers.
