Alton Bradley McGlothlin, age 68, of Culpeper died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, in Manassas. The Rev. McGlothlin was born March 27, 1937, in Skeggs, Va., son of the late Rev. Robert and Gladys McGlothlin. He received certification in electronics from Osbourn High School, Manassas, in 1954. He was a licensed minister with credentials from Berean Bible College, Potomac District Council, Assemblies of God in 1979. He was pastor for a decade at Lighthouse Assembly of God near Catharpin, where he designed and built the new wing for the church. The Rev. McGlothlin was a talented musician and loved to sing gospel music and especially bluegrass. He was a master electrician and worked as a sub-contractor for GRC Roofing and Tom's Truck Sales. He was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Neal McGlothlin; and one sister, Joann Gooden. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Sandra McGlothlin; five children, Curtis Bradley McGlothlin of Montreal, Quebec, Angela Trbovich and husband Mark of Manassas, Adrian Kosmicki and husband Jeff of Manassas, Anita Pennington and husband Mark of Kearneysville, W. Va., and Amber Smoot and husband Brian of Culpeper; ten grandchildren, Caitlin, Nicholas and Carlyn Trbovich, Travis and Max Pennington, Shane and Jeremy Rose, Rhiannon and David Smoot, and Stella Kosmicki; two brothers, Fred McGlothlin and David McGlothlin, both of Nokesville and one sister, Katie Kirkland of Ohio. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 3, at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 4, at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 5012 Gum Spring Road, Manassas. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
