Notes	Name Briand or Brian was anglicised about 1740. James Bryant was Secretary of King William Parish, VA in 1744. Was a large land and slave owner. Was a member of the Court. Bought 68 acres of land from Pierre Dupuy and his wife Judith Lefevre Dupuy for 20 pounds on 16 May 1732. They were his sister-in-law and her husband. Sold these 68 acres for 40 pounds to William Sallee in Sep 1736. Home was located on Jones Creek, near the mouth of the Dutoy Creek in Powhatan, Co. Owned lands near Midlothian, Chesterfield, Co. VA.
