He leaves to mourn his loss 5 brothers, John, James, Charles, William and Douglas Nicely; 3 sisters Mrs. Mary Morris, Mrs. Sallie Clark and Mrs. Charles Hickman. He leaves also 6 sons, Charles, Lee, Sidney, Guy, Nathan and Alva Nicely and one daughter Mrs. Sadie Rowe of Greenville, Va. There are also 35 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His funeral was held in the Oxford church on Monday at 3 p.m. ....He was laid to rest beside his wife who died 16 years ago. A large crowd gathered to pay their respects to a good neighbor and a true friend.
