- He may have been Maj. Darling Huntress, brother to Keziah who married Mary's brother Aaron Warren.
- He had entered on the proprietor's lands and built a house
there and offered in that year to settle with the proprietors provided they would give him a 100-acre lot in the third division where his house stood. They assigned him the westerly half of lot 10, range 3 in the third division. He subsequently acquired other large tracts and was one
of the leading townsmen.
