- Thomas of Leswalt obtained his degree at the University of Edinburg July 27, 1663. he preached at The Presbytry of Dunfemline in April 1691. He was minister at Leswalt from 1692 until his death in 1703.
He was a member of the Assembly January 15, 1692.

Various wills by Thomas identify Katherine Hutcheson as his wife as well as his children James, William, Elizabeth and Bethia.
The will of Thomas was not recorded when he died, but in 1715 his daughter's recorded it to collect a debt Robert Pollock owed their father. In it is found the following:
"Mr. Thomas Castellaw minister of the Gospel at Leswalt and Katherine Hutchosone his spouse." "James Castellaw, indweller in Paislai and Katerhine Veitch his spouse. " James is called his brother and his heir. "Elizabeth Castellaw lawful eldest daughter of the said Mr. Thomas Castellaw." Elizabeth and Bethia Castellaw, daughter's and wards of kin to the defunct and William Houston in Mains for Carleton husband to the said Bethia the remainder amoung my two daughters and my son James and son William.
