Clarence had been an employee of the Waynesboro Post Office, and a Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America, Troop 44. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and an Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Spicy (Betty) W. Reid; a daughter, Brenda Sue Jones; two sons, Gary Allen Reid and Kenneth Lee Reid; two step-sons, David A. Ross and John W. Ross; three step-daughters, Susan R. Walker, Karen R. Bartelme and Joan R. Sutton; five grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Augusta Memorial Park by the Reverend Dr. John L. McDonald, who will be substituting for Dr. Glen Holman. There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home. McDow Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to your favorite charity.
