  Notes	OBITUARY Porter County Vidette; 14 September 1876 Hebron Items. Died, on the 9th inst., Mrs. James Rice, five miles north-west of Hebron. Funeral services at the M. E. church in Hebron last Sunday. The sermon was preached by Rev. F. Cox. It was the longest funeral procession we have seen for a long time. She leaves a husband and a little girl about three years old to mourn their loss.
