Helen was a member of the Cedar Avenue Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard M. VanScyoc, on February 1, 1979. Surviving are a son, Howard Leslie VanScyoc; a daughter, Marilyn JoAnn VanScyoc; two sisters, Bernadine Newcome, and Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Crow; a grandson, Howard L. VanScyoc,Jr.; a granddaughter Heather Ann VanScyoc; and a great-grandson.
