Interment will be in Butters Cemetery under the direction of Hargrove Funeral Home, Oakdale. Surviving him are his wife Mrs. Ruth (Mary Ruth Lawson)Duke of Longleaf; three sons, M.C. Duke of Alexandria, Gerald Duke and J.A. Duke, Jr., both of Longleaf; three daughters, Mrs. Uyles Simmons of Port Arthur, TX; Johnny Ruth Duke and Margie Duke, both of Longleaf; six brothers, five sisters and three grandchildren.
