Notes |
- From Hezekiah's will we learn that by 1796 he was living on McAlpin's Creek, probably very near Silas. In 1818, there are records that Hezekiah, Jr., and his sister Keziah came to an agreement that he would board her and her son Julius (Hezekiah J.) Alexander for 5 years for $25.00 and there is also a record that in March 1818, Hezekiah, Jr., paid Samuel Glen for schooling Julius. It seems that Hezekiah, Jr. looked after his sister, and later, in 1826 took Julius as an apprentice to the joiner's and cabinetmaker's trades, undoubtedly to serve under him.
